I am asking for my friends situation. Her DD took dual enrollment in junior year and got F, it does not include on her highs school GPA, she is 4.3 (w) GPA student. Is it better for her to report in Common app and explain what happened in Challenge section ? Or just not reporting it better? She self studied the subject and got 5 on AP test in May. Now she is really stressed about her mistake and won’t be able to go to selective college she wanted to go to.
For a number of reasons, not least of which is privacy, a user can ask questions for themselves and their dependants. Your friend is welcome to open an account to ask.
But bottom line, all courses and grades taken during HS years have to be reported. Not being part of their HS transcript is irrelevant. Not reporting isn’t an option.
