Dual-enrollment options - Where should I go?

Joe Shmoe University - Round-trip takes 1 hour, the school is seen as second-rate compared to the University of Flagship State (and it is indeed in my area of study). I’ve never seen this school listed on any worldwide ranking.

University of Flagship State - Round-trip takes 2 hours, I’ll probably enjoy my experience here to a greater extent than at Joe Shmoe, the university’s department in my area of interest is ranked in the top 30 worldwide and could be the best in Canada (if not, second best).

I’m leaning towards choice #2. I’m dual-enrolling because I will have outgrown my secondary school’s offerings.

My main question: Will it help to have taken courses at a better university when it comes to the college admissions process?

It would likely be a bigger deal where you took it because you are in Canada. Additionally, it would be a big plus if you did well in courses at the school you wanted to attention. If you were applying to American schools, I don’t think they would probably care.

What course subjects do you want to take?
