Dual Enrollment

Hi,

I am going into my junior year in high school, and I am taking dual enrollment this year. For those who don’t know what that is, I am going to college for the last 2 hours of my school day. I get college AND high school credit for this course. This year that course is Intro. to Psychology. I also take part in college courses in the summer (Emory University, Montevallo University, and leadership at West Point). I am doing this, of course, because I want to expand on the education I recieve in high school, but I was wondering if these things would help very much in college addmissions at schools like Harvard or Stanford.

Thanks

Hmm, they may help but you are far from distinguished, and these courses aren’t terribly rigorous.

Many students who apply to Harvard or Stanford have self studied college material, and while it won’t hurt you, it certainly won’t help you unless you can prove it really accelerated your goals or passions.

Thanks for the quick reply! That’s about what I figured.
