Would you consider it easy for a HS freshman who has only taken IM1 and will be taking IM2H in the Fall?
I’m concerned @math_tryhard is going to be stumped due to pre-reqs above IM1 and not having required study skills usually taken later.
If I don’t meet the requirements I will just take it next year
But will both computer classes be alot of work, I know it is a college class so it will be but I was wondering how many hours per day will I need to spend.
I usually have my kids avoid classes with hard math pre-requisites because they lack the proper foundation until Junior/Senior year.
But almost everything else is cake.
Good plan.
You should plan on 8-10 hours of work per week depending on the class intensity. (You’ll be covering 2 weeks of class content each week and 4-5 hours of hw per week wouldn’t be unexpected for a college cs class).
Regarding privates and CC classes taken during high school: All of the private colleges my senior applied to this cycle were willing to transfer in between 14-32 semester credits of dual enrollment. I was surprised. This included Reed, Oberlin, Grinnell, Kenyon, Whitman, Lewis & Clark, University of Puget Sound, Willamette, University of Tulsa, and St. Mary’s of California. Privates a tier down from top 50 seem much more willing to accept some DE.
