How would U of C look at dual enrollment at a local community college (not state college, a community college)?

would they frown on it cause it’s a community college?

or do they not care?

When I visited last spring, they said that they do consider the rigor of Dual Enrollment. I am not sure how it stakes up but I would imagine that a CC class is above Honors but below AP/IB.

Well, when I was considering dual enrollment for next year it seemed like the community college had a version of each of the AP classes I’m taking in my senior year, so I would assume they’ll weigh them the same.

Well, I know that UChicago does NOT accept Dual Enrollment credit IF the Dual Enrollment class also counted for a HS credit. If the dual enrollment class does not count as a HS credit, then they will review the course to see if they give you credit for it. So, take that into consideration when deciding to take Dual Enrollment vs AP/IB
