Dude... College Board is screwing me

I took the SAT II’s in Lit, Math II, and Literature in November but I had them cancel my Math II score because of a calculator failure and they told me that that would only cancel my math score.

Well I am applying to CSU’s and UC’s and I cannot get my scores online, every time i check it says please try again in a week. I know that UC’s want my scores as soon as possible, and i am tired of waiting for CC to send my scores.

What should i do? How much time do I have? Where should i write if i want to contact the UC’s and tell them my dilemna, will they be sympathetic?

Uhm…call collegeboard customer service and get things sorted out. I’d do the same with the UC’s; call the admissions office and explain your dilemma because who knows how long it’ll take for them to read your writing??

Did you do this at the test center?

Canceling scores because of equipment failure
If equipment fails during a Mathematics Level 1 or Mathematics Level 2 test or during a Language Test with Listening, a student can request to cancel just the scores on the affected test, and still have the other Subject Tests scored.

If students’ equipment malfunctions, they must:

Report the equipment failure during the test
Fill out and sign a Request to Cancel Test Scores form, checking off “Single Subject Test Equipment Failure”
Return the completed form to room supervisor before leaving

i did it at the test center, filled out piece of paper handed it to the guy and left

Call the collegeboard Wed.

yeah i just tried to call them and couldn’t get past automated machine

Ah, same problem here…I took korean with listening and math II in Nov., and got my score 2 months later. I wanted to cancel only the math (because of calc. malfunction), but when I got my scores, they mixed it up somehow so that the only one reported was the half-completed math II test. ***. I filled out all the forms at the center, too.

Well, I sent off my score reports weeks ago so it doesn’t really matter (except for two colleges I added to my list recently), but it’s still bugging me. Especially because I did really well on my listening test (the one not reported).

:(

any other advice other than shot myself in the foot

Im thinkign about forgetting this whole college thing, and just living in the wild with agirl

eating raw fish, and living free

Seriously getting in to college is this daunting task that literally possess people and makes them do crazy insane things. I think too much pressure is put on too kids, albeit good pressure, but that the ramifications of this constant overbearing desire to achieve greatness has ruined childhood and teenage years which are supposed to be the best and most carefree.

To be honest, all this college aspiration stuff never really hit me until junior year. So… I really didn’t spend my childhood or the first two years of high school striving to succeed so I could do well later in life. I don’t think everyone thinks like that, and I don’t think you have to be thinking like that to succeed. I just sort of found, when the time came, that I’d done well and that I really had a chance.

^^^ thats true for me, but i see kids stress out way too much when they are going to have a succesful and happy life whether or not they get into their number one school ^^^

Not childhood, just extra stress during high school for a lot of kids (underline kids)
