Dude, did my UC GPA drop by 2.5 points?

Here are my grades for 10th and 11th grade:

Sophomore:
Chemistry HNS: C/B
AP World: B/A
PE: A/A
Spanish 5-6: B/A
Inter Algebra Acc: B/A
English Acc: B/A

Junior:
Photo: A/A
AP Spanish Lang: A/A
Physics HNS: A/B
Math Analysis HNS: A/B
APUSH: A/A
AP Eng Lang: B/B

With that, my UC GPA was 4.06 by the end of my junior first semester. Now with my second semester grades put into place, I recalculated and found out its a 3.86!!! Is this right?

Yes, and a B here and there will not kill you

Err… 4.06 - 3.86 = 2.5?

oh yeah my bad. it went down .2. i was scared and wasnt thinking.

crap. there goes my shot at UCLA and UCSD. and i thought i had it. i guess its SDSU or UCI for me…

You get a couple B’s and a C and you assume SDSU?

You’re freaking out. Try your best, that’s all you can do.

yeah, it should be right.
UCs only give the extra point to 8 honors/AP classes.
so if you take, for example, 12 honors/AP classes, you still only get the extra point for 8 of those.
that’s what happened to me too.
sigh
