I forgot to watch! To me the new show sounds very scripted and crafted. One of the things that made the original Duggar show fun was that it seemed more off-the-cuff, especially in the earlier years.
For the Homeland people, I’m still in Season 3. I just discovered Homeland a few weeks ago. Wow - love this show.
It was such an oddly staged show! One second, dreary music and Jessa or Jill or another Duggar child spouting out words that didn’t amount to much substance about the exposure of Josh’s extracurriculars. The next second, one of the girls in their homes or out shopping for baby clothes! There was some footage of Anna in the beginning but as far as we watched we didn’t see her interviewed at all. No Mama or Papa Duggar.
SFMom, this season of Homeland, whatever number it is, is super. Really layered. Even tho I could have watched it later, online, wasn’t going to miss it for Jill and Jana and their same old.
Teri, I agree that Allison is a number. But also love the rest of what’s going on in this new environment

This has to be such a confusing time for many of the older Duggar children. I think the new show would be compelling if it were more honest and authentic. You just get the feeling that they are sticking to the story.
Then again I don’t like people’s childhoods being aired on TV for the whole world to poke at. It strikes me as exploitative of a child’s privacy rights. The Duggars would probably argue that they were witnessing their faith and that it benefited more people than just their family. But now look what has happened. I don’t know.
At least child actors have lots of rules that have to be followed.
That’s what happens to your body after you have sex? Jeez. Who knew.
Maybe that’s why one of the Ashley Madison escorts accused Josh of roughing her up.

But most of us didn’t ask the piano teacher or our children to do chores from morning to bedtime! Blech.
Too bad hugs and kisses are at the end of the list.

I watched a little bit of their show tonight. If they said the phrase “what we are walking through” one more time I would’ve chipped a tooth. Also, the euphemism “the situation”. Ugh.
