Duggars in the news.

There seems to be quite a backlash on social media. Hoping the Duggar special gets very low ratings and that’s the end of it.

^ Wish folks would jut quit buying People mag when they appear on the cover.

I confess to flipping through People and In Touch when they’re there.

Under the expanded Duggar Family buddy system, Joy-Anna is assigned to Spurgeon as Jessa’s back-up sister-mom.

Wow.

The video in that link doesn’t work. It’s just a blank black square on my screen.

Works for me. It’s on Jessa’s FB page.

From the article:

This really surprises me… JimBob and Michelle made it very clear that they don’t believe boys should be left in charge of female children. Why all of a sudden let Jason take on this role?

If this is true, so, so wrong. Of course Jill/Jessa won’t hesitate to pop out additional children quickly!!!

So far, none of them are fighting their programming to love tending babies. For all I know, this experience may make her a better wife prospect among her sort. Not that it helped Jana yet, though.

Not sure if this has been posted but I read this a few days ago.

"However, the source told ET that they feel “certain members of the family are more focused on ratings and a paycheck than actually focusing on the issues at hand,” adding that some members of the Duggar family have “chosen not to participate in the special out of respect to the serious ordeal the family has been going through in the last months.”

In the article and the preview for their tv show, Anna says, “It was heartbreaking to hear what had happened”. You can really see her pain when she said it. But it seemed to me, that I would have said “It was heartbreaking to find out what he had done”. The “what had happened” sounds more like upset about the press finding out about it and releasing it, and still denying what HIS behavior was.

Audio of Michelle’s 911 call from Spurgeon’s birth:

She always sounds so spacey.

I think I’m over the Duggars.

I didn’t plan on it but D2 wanted to watch some of this Duggar special - so we are.

What an awkwardly staged show! One minute they are making up the baby’s crib and the next minute they are talking about Josh! One minute we’re at the consignment store looking at baby hats, the next minute we’re crying over Josh! Truly awkward.

Also, the Duggar girls/spouses responses? SO full of words that amount to nothing! No substance.

Watching this show is about as much fun as watching paint dry. I can’t believe they thought this was worthwhile to tape and release. Shame on you TLC.

We won’t be finishing out the hour.

I have seen promos for the show on networks that were not TLC. There’s one where two different brothers speak and they both look like Josh. Big balding heads. These guys go from teenagers to middle aged men. Not pretty.

I can’t imagine what the show would be about and I have no interest in watching these boring grifters.

Homeland was great.

At the end, H said, “There’s no way they’re going to resolve this in the season finale next week!” I’m wondering if it’s an extended episode… more than 50 minutes. I think tonight was actually close to 60 minutes.

That Allison is a whacko!

Just checking in to see why this thread keeps popping up to the top. I have to say that Spurgeon sounds like a weird amalgamation of spooge, surgeon and sturgeon which congers up an icky image of medical fish “issue” . . . yuck.
