Duke 2015 ED applicants

I don’t think it’s possible unless you already have a phone capable of email.

also my check application status website is back up, it said under maintenance about 30 min ago, now its back to normal (with no give date yet… )

i guess we all have another weekend of waiting…

I don’t even care what day they come out anymore, I just want to know the day so that I know which day to look forward to. this 2-8 days thing just isn’t working for me.

Man imagine if an admissions officer was viewing these boards lol. No wonder they keep us in suspense, watching us worry and fret about the decision date must be hilarious.

why is everyone saying the 13th and 14th now?

I would be seriously worried about our mental healths. This is not healthy behavior.

That’s Duke students for you. Always worrying about the smallest things, very analytical. They’re good traits, actually. So my brother (Duke class of 2013) forwarded me his email from Duke about the decision date. He received his email at 8:56 PM on December 8, 2008 informing him that his decision would be posted on December 11, 2008. Sorry if I just made everyone cling back to their emails, but I have his email in front of me. Don’t ask me why he still has it lol.

8:56 eastern time?

Yay that made me have hope again  thank you soo much!

I live in Maryland, so yes, 8:56 PM Eastern Time. Here’s an excerpt of what it said.

"Dear XXXX,

I want to let you know that Early Decision applicants to Duke University may view their admissions decisions on-line beginning 6:00 p.m. Thursday, December 11, 2008.

You will receive separate two e-mails from our office on Wednesday, December 10. The first e-mail will provide you with a unique admission decision PIN and the next e-mail will provide you with your unique admission decision password…"

Looks legit. Everyone resume maniacally refreshing your email(s).

That’s strange because I just looked at my sister’s e-mail, also from the class of 2013, and it came on December 10 at 5:15 p.m. and said that the decisions will be posted on December 11 at 6:00 p.m. The e-mail was exactly as Ballinallday posted.

thanks Ballinallday!

i am so confused. i thought they send them out all at the same time

So, I went to my little sisters elementary school program thinking it had to be better than this existence at the moment, and it starts and the theme?

christmas through the years and growing up.

i could’ve shot myself, i spent the rest of the program checking my email frantically on my phone.

It’s possible Ballinallday’s brother (or w.e that person was) just did not have internet or something until 8:56.

except he got it two days earlier

@colorado12345

is it possible you are referring to the second email that Ballinallday mentioned?

@ questions regarding text alerts for email.

I don’t have an internet phone, the notifications are sent through just texts. I have a hotmail account and if you go to options and then “mobile alerts for new messages.”
And then I set it up with a specific filter for emails from Duke, so I don’t receive like a hundred texts a day.

I can’t see my FSU decision because the “service is unavailable.” If too many people are on Duke at the same time and I can’t see my decision, I may very well lose my sanity!
