hahah i love the parent comments on the thread, classic… lol

^nchome, the 2 RDers won’t affect your son’s decision nor will the ED Trinity kid as you are essentially applying to two different schools.

No worries :)

I know the other three students don’t affect my son…just stating who is applying when and where from here. : )

This is only my 5th (I believe) time checking this thread today! Operation distraction: success.

Someone asked me today what other colleges I would apply to if I didn’t get accepted. All I could really manage was, “other…colleges…?” I made a list a while back, but for now I don’t even want to think about other schools.

@findingSerenity: I’m in the same boat. Last week I had to force myself to figure out my RD apps. I’m going to apply to Emory (both my parents went), American (safeties WADDUP), BC, Vanderbilt, UVA, Middlebury, Georgetown, Johns Hopkins (it’s my second choice), WashU, and Tufts.

How much do you think having a duel-citizenship will help in the application process? I’m white, so my ethnicity isn’t terribly fantastic, but I’m middle eastern.

Hey so who is applying ED to Pratt?! just wanna scope out the competition :)

and Im hoping my triple citizenship will help even though im american white male:)

Legacy white male from NC here (I know, you never would have guessed from my user name)…

I know you guys up north must be freezing, but its pretty cold here right now, especially for NC…I think it only got above freezing a few times this week. I also believe it snowed in Durham (I know it did in Raleigh) last weekend. But for the most part I love the weather here. Its awesome. Hopefully you guys will get to experience it next year, and hopefully Ill get to keep experiencing it!

One of my friends found out he got into Cornell today. Only made me more anxious.

I’m a white male from GA with a brother legacy applying to Trinity. One girl from my school is also applying Duke ED, but I like my chances better than hers - though we’re not really in the same applicant pool anyway. And yeah, it has been freakishly cold here in the South this week, unfortunately.

Tall Asian (oxymoron alert) male from Greater Boston Area - not that cold up here, ya get used to it haha - Southern schools aren’t so popular at my school - All my friends applied EA to MIT, ED to Brown - btw is Massgirl the only other applicant from MA on this page? We need some representin’

MinneSNOWta here. Car wouldn’t start this morning. I hate this.

Oh ya well i’m a jewish athlete. Bet you haven’t heard of many of those.

It is freezing in Southern California too, it was like 68 degrees today.

i know! its freaking cold in orange county its horrible
so does being a legacy really help? :)

sigh i hate being an asian male. from washington. where almost no one goes to duke.

What date is Duke finding out?

Hey, my Why Duke essay is now 346 words. Is that okay? I’m kinda worried and I have to submit today. :S

mick: the ed results come out next tuesday

there are 8 kids from my school that applied ED to Duke…2 of which are legacies…so my chances seem slim

also, its 2 degrees Celsius here or 36 degrees Fahrenheit
London is so cold right now!
