Duke Alumni Network in Bay Area

I’m sorry if this question is hard to answer, but does anyone know if Duke has a reasonably strong alumni presence in the Bay Area (Northern California)? A lot of my friends who applied to Duke have not heard back about an interview, and I was starting to wonder if Duke has a shortage of alumni in the area. Have any of you (who live in the Bay Area and applied this year) heard about an interview?

I think I’m just stressing out unnecessarily about this and should wait more, but I just really wanted an interview and do not know if Duke has a good alumni presence in San Jose/San Francisco. Thanks for any help.

I am not sure except I can tell you that I have just been offered an interview this morning. I am in the Bay Area. I guess you just have to wait a little more? But I am sure some people will not be interviewed at all.

There is definitely a strong alumni network in the Bay Area - SF is one of the top places Duke grads go for school/employment.

Just wait and see if you get an interview. Not receiving one does not mean you are not a strong candidate-it’s simply a matter of numbers. Apparently the number of applicants from California has exploded over the past year or two.
