Great chance if SAT’s are higher

Siemens looks especially good to me, but as previously stated the SAT could be higher. The writing is probably the easiest to bump up like 60 points and you will be in a much better position.

What the… Siemens Competition is in October. How the heck…? Anyway, are you taking a year off? Or the Siemens stuffs are hypothetical? The SAT scores are competitive enough. I don’t think Duke considers writing.

The Siemens awards are from 2009 and 2008 (junior and sophomore years). I worked with a partner, because for the team competition you are not required to be a senior. I’m definitely going to work on my writing section. I tanked on the essay and was a bit shaky with some grammar rules. I got a 5 on the AP Lang & Comp and I consider myself to be a decent writer, so I don’t think I’ll struggle with it next time after some dedicated prep. Thanks for your input!

Meh… Siemens is very impressive. It’s my dream to make semifinalist this year. :D. Why don’t you apply to MIT or Caltech. They like it very much.
