<p>I have been admitted to Duke '14, but I’m requesting a one-year deferred admission, to pursue a PG degree at Phillips Exeter Academy. I’m Ecuadorian; a PG at PEA could be a nice transition to American culture and college life. Any thoughts?</p>
<p>I’m actually deferring my admission as well and taking a gap year. That’s great that you want to do that too, but you should check with Duke to make sure it’s ok seeing as they do not allow you to defer if you plan on taking courses elsewhere.</p>
<p>Does Duke allow a gap year for traveling???</p>
