Duke ECs

I was wondering whether + would fit into duke.
How good are extra curricular activities at duke. Are there science, engineering fairs. Or others.

There are tons of opportunities. Now when you say “fairs”, you’re not referring to job fairs are you…or just extracurricular fairs? Either way, I guarantee you you will find what you want. And at this point, there’s no real reason to think about it since you haven’t gotten there yet. Just take it in stride and see what comes your way. You’ll get emails of upcoming fairs, but specifically in terms of engineering ECs, I’m not quite sure what you mean. A lot of times students do research as an “EC” but that is generally later on after you’ve had some coursework. You can work in a department as well, but you probably want some experience for that too.

In terms of a science fair, there was one day in which many researchers from the Med school went to LSRC to present their research, if that counts as a “fair”.

In terms of career fairs, one of the fairs that’s held by the CS dept. is called TechConnect. You can read more about it here:
