I applied to Duke early decision but noticed in the preview before submitting that the common app conjoined the last two paragraphs of my essay into one. I went back multiple times and seperated the paragraphs but they would merge again in the preview. I ended up submitting the essay with the last two paragraphs merged because I was running out out time to submit (It was the last day). Should I contact Duke in any way to tell them the issue? Or is this not too big of a problem and I should just leave it?

From what I have heard from other people and various postings, I would not worry about this. The “paragraph merging” problem has been quite common this year, and the reader will figure it out. Since this is your ED, if you already have had email communication with the person handling your territory, then you could just drop a simple BRIEF email letting that person know the issue. I would not do this for all of the other RD schools.

Moving forward with the rest of your apps, google “common app essay formatting”. I can not recall the link, but there was a college app blog that gave great advice about using Macs and text software that would convert your essays and then you can copy and paste them into the Common App perfectly. My D used this and it worked great with no problems.
