<p>^That is not exactly what Top Tier said. What he/she was debunking was the myth that there is a specific percentage requirement of students from North Carolina that Duke must take. That is not true. But certainly Duke *does *still give a slight “bump” to in-state (and presumably South Carolina as well since the charter simply refers to the “Carolinas”) assuming there are enough impressive candidates - there is simply no “target number” like there is for public schools.
