HS Senior here. Duke is just gaining popularity among many students. The warmer climate relative to the Ivies, the Ivies and California schools being too “woke,” the high school spirit and beautiful gothic campus are all attractive. Every Duke student I have talked to has gushed about how amazing the student and academic/athletic life is there, so many are hearing it from their older friends too. More students have it now as their dream school. While deciding where to use my ED in the summer, I estimated that Duke’s ED acceptance rate would go down another 5%, from 21%-16%-11% in just two years. It is THE Ivy of the South.

I have to agree partially here…while I come from a state where Duke is often thought about as too far away (California), and only 4 people from my school have applied in the last 5 years, there is a lot of interest in other areas of CA. It’s a great option for people like me who don’t want to go to an Ivy but still want a prestigious school that balances school spirit and rigorous academics. I also think the fact that they really cater to undergraduate student research and experience (also beautiful campus, great amenities, etc.) has made them super popular in the past few years. I think as more people start to give up on the Ivies(a trend I have seen in all my classmates), they are turning to the other T10-20 schools.

If it disappeared 3 days ago could it come out today? I know it’s early but historically it’s been released on Thursdays… Does the checklist disappearing and when decisions come out have any correlation?

Please is this for only Pratt student or for both trinity and pratt Students.
The sixth bracket is the admitted pratt students ED and the bracket next to it is the overall admitted ED students. So lasts years was 166 pratt students with 800 overall admitted from 4855 applicants. The spreadsheet doesn’t have Trinity numbers 
Hey… sorry for late reply…I wasn’t given an Alumni interview I actually asked with an email…I was told not all candidate was given interviews…they didn’t ask me much for lots of things though

Do we have any updates? I heard a lot of NC schools came out with decisions last night
How does everyone in this group seem to “hear” information about Duke. Like the applicants went up by 30% or Carolina applicants heard back.
I know for at least the 30% increase in ED this year info, Duke sent out an email to school counselors a few weeks ago about that. I haven’t heard about the other Carolina thing though, I’m not too sure if that’s true

Yes. questbrige and athletes were 200/800 spots. 600/6100 for the rest.
