Hello everyone,

I am a prospective wrestler for Duke university. I have visited the campus and absolutely love the Gothic buildings and the scenery. Duke is currently my number one choice, but i am still open to other offers. Currently i have full ride opportunities to Duke, Rutgers, Drexel, UNC, and NcState. Im looking into majoring in Computer science or Physics. Im currently taking AP comp sci course, and I am Cisco Certified (CCNA, 3/4 CCNP). I am very proficient working with Cisco networking devices. I have taken Honors Physics, AP physics B (currently), and IB physics (currently). I just recently wrote a Java program to calculate the final momemtum and velocity (including the angle) of inelastic collisions, and totally inelastic collision. My major will most likely decide what i plan to do as a career. I am very proficient in networking technologies and would like to become a network engineer/architect. But if i major in physics, i would like to join the naval academy to work with nuclear sources. I would like to become a nuclear physicist. The military provides good benefits as well.

I do understand the academic rigor and strenuous requisites pertinent to success. How is the balance of Academics, Athletics, and social life ? As far as i know, i need a 1200 Math/CR for general acceptance considering my athletic abilities. I am ranked in the Nation in wrestling, and started my 9th grade year; there so much room for improvement.

Konrad Dudziak is a NCAA runner-up for Duke wrestling and is majoring in physics. However, i didn’t have the opportunity to talk to him about the physics program at duke, when i was on my visit.

How is the Computer Science program and Physics program compared to the offers i currently have? How is the balance of social life, academic, and athletic life? Duke, based off my current research is my number one choice; based off academic and athletics.

Thanks for your time.
