Duke

What’s the weather like in Duke? How is it compared to Vancouver?

haha, is this thread a joke? I honestly can’t tell. Vancouver?!?! Durham is super mild and rarely snows. And hot in the summer. It’s North Carolina - the weather is very nice. Also, see the “Snow at Duke” thread on this page or [Raleigh-Durham, NC, North Carolina, USA: Climate, Global Warming, and Daylight Charts and Data](http://www.climate-charts.com/Locations/u/US72306003170691.php)

^^^ It is April 1.

^True, but that is the weakest April Fool’s joke question that I had ever heard…so I thought it was somewhat legit b/c it made no sense as a joke. But I’m making no sense right now…so…I’ll stop typing.

While I don’t live there, but visit, coastal Vancouver has wonderful weather, not unlike Northern California. (Both have mild winters near the coast, snow in the mountains).Think bay areas like San Diego and San Francisco but colder and more rain. It is not that cold, if that’s what seems like a joke. I think Durham has more ( or maybe the same) extremes of temperture, at least by West Coast standards ( Vancouver is on the west coast of Canada, but you know that…) . Durham is unquestionably much more humid when it’s hot. I think it get’s colder too. Sometimes snow. Ice is not rare in the winter, hurricane type stuff seasonally if I’m not mistaken. Never lived there either, but visit my family there, who seem to have some problem every other winter or so due to ice or something.
