dumb question

this is kind of a dumb question but are there any requirements that we should have on our graphing calculator or should any graphing calculator work for like math classes and the like

im in first year engineering btw

totally unrelated… but…

I wonder if we can use our 89’s with Bray in 32…

is an 89 required for 103?

no, math department generally does not allow the use of a calculator period on exams. As for regular use, any calculator will do, most people will either have TI-83/84 or 89.

I’ve never known of any class at Duke to require a specific calculator. An 89 might be helpful but I’m an engineer and have gotten by with an 83 my entire time here. Besides basic calculations for homework I really never use the thing. (Matlab is what I tend to use for anything more complicated or when I need to graph something anyway)
