Duplicate Common App - do the teacher's recommendations transfer?

<p>My daughter is considering changing her essay for some of her schools to a different topic. We understand that you can remove a college from the list on app#1, duplicate the app, and then upload a new essay on app #2. My question is do her teacher references (which are already done) transfer to the new colleges, or does she have to ask them to somehow resubmit them?</p>

<p>Carefully read the instructions under “Instructions - Alternate Versions” on the common appl site. Also note that the personal statement (after the essay) does not automatically carry over to the alternate version.</p>
