<p>My DS very happy he was accepted to PSU…accepted DUS. Question is…how hard is it to get into Smeal later? He would very likely not have been accepted to Smeal as an incoming freshman. From what I’ve read…you must have a 3.2 minimum gpa to apply and get into Smeal at the end of the 2nd semester. My concern is that freshman year is always an adjustment period (was for me!) Any insight?</p>
<p>My son also had a minimum GPA requirement to be accepted into his program at the end of freshman year. He really wanted the program and I think the requirement helped him to focus on schoolwork and avoid what might otherwise have been “compelling” distractions.</p>
