Duvet cover or a comforter ?

Should I get a duvet cover or a comforter for my dorm?

You cover the comforter with the duvet.
The duvet is removed and washed with your sheets, saving you the task of washing the comforter as often.

A duvet is a comforter. As beerme intimates, the duvet cover covers the duvet. It is an alternative to a top sheet. It make the bed much easier to make (except for putting the cover on).

I meant should I get cover for my comforter or not? Anyway, thank you.

Get the cover. Make sure it is comfortable, sheet-like material. As I said, you won’t need a top sheet, and you can wash the cover much more easily than the comforter itself.

@Hunt thanks.

Get the cover…easier to wash and if you want to update the look of your room, easier to change.

The key to duvet covers is to get clips (in a pinch, big safety pins)

Turn the duvet cover inside out and lay it on the ground. Lay your comforter on top of that. Clip or pin the corners of both cover and comfortable together. Turn it all inside out. Easy peasy.

We never clip or pin ours, and don’t have any problems. It’s nice for the cover to have snaps or buttons at the opening–I think most do. Close them before you wash the cover.
