I am now studying in Diablo Valley College and this is my second semester.
So far, I have took 16 credits and got an A for all of them.
This second semester I’m taking 19 credits and I am struggling because I chosen the hard teacher.
If this goes on, it is most likely that I will get 3.0 this semester, which will make my overall GPA 3.45.
This makes me starts to search for a lot of colleges in California.
Which colleges do you think I will be able to get into with 3.0-3.5 GPA?
Do you guys think that I will be able to get into University of Illinois at Urbana–Champaign with this kind of GPA?
I am studying Civil Engineering.
thanks
UIUC will likely be much more expensive than a UC or CSU if you are a California resident. You can check the net price calculator at each school’s web site.
There are 4 UCs and 12 CSUs that offer civil engineering. Of course, there are also private schools in and out of California that offer civil engineering.
Unfortunately, there seems to be less information about transfer admission, making it harder to determine reach/match/safety. But SJSU does have some information on recent past admission thresholds: http://info.sjsu.edu/static/admission/impaction.html .
Be sure to check what courses you need by checking http://www.assist.org for your major and target UCs and CSUs.
