DVD from WashU - Did anyone else hate it?

I just finished watching WashU’s DVD, and it honestly turned me off to the school a lot. Granted, I’ll be visiting for Multicultural Weekend next month, so I’ll know much more then. It was very generic; I was honestly a bit disgusted by how shallow it was. For an institution as prestigious as WashU, the DVD had no substance; Pitt and Penn State’s DVDs were much better. It was like cotton candy, you know?

Just me venting; I’d like to know what you guys thought of the DVD.

Fluff video doesn’t necessarily equal fluff school, might equal possible marketing department mistake.

“the best thing about washU is the people”

haha.

the video did not really impress me…

It was like any other college DVD: it was a PR device. Nothing substantial should be taken from it.

does everyone get a dvd? i didn’t get receive one yet…

I know that they’ve been filming (at least in the business school focusing on undergrads) for a new video, so that may help. I watched the VHS that they had sent me when I was home for break, and I agree that it was pretty bad.

Yeah, I got it. But I didn’t look at it until I saw this thread. It was rather…interesting.

“There’s not a single person on this campus that hasn’t been able to do what they wanted to.”

Riiiiiight…
