Dwight Hall

It looks interesting. What do you all know about it?

Dwight Hall is easily the best campus-based service/civic organization in the country, if not the world. Technically it is an “umbrella” organization with many “member” groups, but it’s basically known as an entity into itself. A very large proportion of Yale undergraduates and graduate students participate in civic-related organizations.

Like any service organization for students, the key part of it isn’t the service/activism, but what the students can learn by doing it. In other words, the goal is more to create leaders (people equipped to make changes in their communities, at a later time) than to accomplish any particular major change in the world.
