How’s the situation looking? Just want to know what types of schools you think I should look at… any hopes for Ivy leagues? (I’m not really interested in Ivy Leagues necessarily, but I’m just curious to know). Thanks so much!

ah realized something i forgot… since i work/volunteer at the ambulance, i rack up the hours pretty quick, so i have approx. 400 community service hours. my GPA that says 3.7 is unweighted, and our school doesn’t do ranking, weighted GPAs, or any of that stuff.

does that GPA of 3.7 include your freshman year? many colleges tend to recalculate GPA without freshman year. the SAT score needs to be higher and the grades need to go up too. ivies will be tough. of course, i’m sure you’ll have a fighting chance at any top institution.

yeah, it does include freshman year unfortunately. i’ve taken a million practice SATs, and my best score i’ve gotten so far has been 680 Critical Reading, 730 Math, 750 Writing, but those were just practice tests, so i figured a 2100 may be what i’m at right now (i’m taking the real SATs in June). thanks for the feedback!

how are my chances for schools like… emory, tufts, university of virginia, carnegie mellon… if i was thinking about applying in biology or possibly biomedical engineering
