Dynamy gap year in Worcester< MA - reputation, personal experiences?

Have any of our New England CC folks heard about the program? Does it have a reputation as a place for troubled kids or is it truly a gap year program? Anyone have any direct experience?

Considering it for my overly confident but very immature HS senior.

Do a search here on CC for Dynamy and you will get some posts to look at.

Hi Bopper - Already did a search. Most of the Dynamy posts are quite old. There are a few new posts but they are all written by the same person.

Gap years are not for troubled kids, unless there is a theraputic piece.
Both my kids took gap years, one with CityYear, one with Projects Abroad.

The person who wrote the new posts was probably me. D1 did the Dynamy program 2 years ago. It was a worthwhile experience and I’d recommend the program to others. It was not a program for troubled kids at all. A number of kids did have ADD or similar issues. The kids live in Dynamy apartments and do unpaid internships in local businesses. If you have specific questions I’d be happy to answer them.
