E (Engineering) House/West

What is the ratio of freshman in E House (Engineering) in West? From what I have read it sounds tempting…bigger rooms, quieter, nice location, good food but will I miss out on the freshman experience?

great question! I am bumping this.

I lived in Ehouse both my freshman and sophomore year. My one friend applied very late to the special living option and still got in, so as long as your essay and application are decent, you shouldn’t have a problem getting in. There were a lot of freshman, probably almost half of the residents in the building! I made a lot of my current friends there. It’s a great place to live freshman year, although by sophomore year I was ready to move off campus for more freedom!

The rooms are a lot bigger and more customizable, and the dining halls are the best on campus. You won’t miss out on the freshman experience because you’ll have lots of freshman in Ehouse to befriend. Also, East halls are insane and would be so annoying to live in, in my opinion.
