EA application mistake - is it bad?

I was just uploading a “two-dimensional, scannable image of something that appeals to” me, for Rice, when I realized that Monet’s Lilacs in the Sun are in the Pushkin Gallery, not in the Tretyakov Gallery and that I wrote on my “Favorite things” essay for UChicago that the painting was in the Tretyakov Gallery - oops.

Since I’m originally from Russia, I’ve been to both, and I guess my memory just blurred the two together. Is this going to impact my application at all? I think that it’s a pretty minor thing, but could it be bad?

I’m pretty sure they’ll understand that it was a mistake. I doubt it would prevent you from getting in :)

Considering how esoteric that reference is, unless the person reading your application was an art history or russian studies major, chances are they won’t even realize it.

Funny thing is, the admissions people probably didn’t even know you made a mistake until you posted this thread. Remember, there are UChicago admissions officials roaming this forum. :P
