EA decision call signup list

I really hope they don’t stagger it… oh, and Ender, I’m about two hours away. I doubt it’ll get here tomorrow even if they DIDN’T stagger it, but my mother (who was born in Palo Alto, haha) says there’s hope, so…I’m still hoping?

sigh…

lol, that’s the end of my decision call list, then :D

As an East Coaster I’m not too upset that they staggered the admissions, but I do feel sorry for the West Coasters who expected them in their mailboxes tomorrow.

5 days… hang in there!

not five days - shouldn’t the mail take two-three days, or is five a customary coast to coast shipping time?

i looked it up on usps, and i think it said 2 days… but they could be lieing. everyone is lieing to us nowadays lol

notice all the people mad abt the staggering, live in Cali.
lol

I doubt that they staggered the mail.
Would be to much of a hassle.

So I might get it on Saturday

I live near by
Total Est. Time: 1 hour, 20 minutes Total Est. Distance: 70.07 miles

So I am right on that boarder of getting the mail on Monday or Saturday.

Mail normally gets here at 1:00 so its very soon.

ahh exciting!

60 miles away. cmon saturday!!!

3000 miles, come on saturday!!! hahaha

damn you cali ppl. not only is Stanford 50% Cali residents now you get your mail first?! where is the equality in the world? jk

I called the USPS. They said they’d “be surprised” if mail got to my ZIP in San Diego by tomorrow. However, Monday “wouldn’t be unrealistic, but it’s possible due to the ‘holiday rush’ that it could be longer.”

I used to live in the Bay Area, and here’s my theory.

Stanford sends huge dumptruck worth of mail to post office around 3 p.m.

Around 6:30-7 p.m., larger truck containing lots of Palo Alto/Stanford mail gets sent to Oakland/San Francisco airports.

Around 9 p.m., mail arrives at airport shipping center.

1 a.m. mail is sorted and on a plane to Los Angeles.

3 a.m. plane arrives.

5 a.m. mail is deplaned and put on another large truck headed for San Diego, 100 miles south.

8 a.m. mail arrives at San Diego sorting center.

9-10 a.m. mail is picked up by local postman.

3 p.m. mail arrives at my neighborhood mailbox.

3:01 p.m. zsurf reaches mailbox.

3:01:02 p.m. zsurf sprints back inside to open letter.

3:01:03 p.m ________________________

whoa… you will wait till your inside?

I think I’m going to stare at it for awhile if the envelope isn’t a dead giveaway.

the envelope usually is a dead giveaway, but since stanford is being a prick this year, who knows.

uggg this is so horrible…we don’t have any information whatsoever! they wouldn’t tell us the date, wouldn’t let us know by phone, and now we don’t even know for sure if the mail is staggered!

on one hand, it may make sense to stagger the mail–rather than process 2000 applications nationwide, they do, say, 800 a day. that way they have fewer things to stuff and mail per day
on the other hand, it may be too much hassle

aargh!

ARGH!!! I’m so scared!!!

The offical letter on the website makes it sound like they did not stagger the mail, however, I can definitely see them staggering it and just saying that they sent out decisions on Friday. Traditionally, people have gotten the letters on the same day nationwide, correct? That suggests that they have staggered the decisions in the past…

Ugh I hope I don’t have to wait till Wednesday…

-Ender

Oh my!

I thought you guys were gonna know WAY WAY before I heard from MIT, but it looks like it might be around the same time–if not LATER than me. MIT sent out all of the letters this morning… I might even get it by Monday!

So whereas before I was nervous but mostly excited for you guys, now I am so totally feeling your pain/emotion/trepidation/whatever. Ugh, and I have to finish the Stanford app by the 15th… while I will be the most nervous!

btw random Q how do you make the font larger or colored? cutting and pasting didnt work,a nd i don’t know how to write it. I know how to bold, italics, and quote things, et c’est tout!
