Congrats @UpstateSCmom . Glad to hear. Son got deferred but that’s was expected
My son did not receive a waiver of OOS, but he had applied for Bernard Ramsey. Does anyone know the timing of scholarships or waivers? If he did not receive on with his honors college acceptance, is that it? Or is it possible to get one later?
This is likely a SC weighted GPA. My daughters is a 5.258, recalculated it is a 4.27
Thank you! She is very excited. She knows her low math ACT is what prevented the honors college. Good luck to your son getting in RD!
@middling My S is in the same boat: Auto admit for Honors but no merit as of yet. He also applied for Foundation Fellows. We are doing our best to be patient and see how it all unfolds.
Congrats! It seems like the ones getting into Honors with auto admit have a solid ACT of at least 34 or 35 in both English and Math. My daughters composite is a 34 but her math is only a 30 with a 35 in English, a 36 in Reading and a 36 in Science. She will try to apply for honors. Not sure what the chances are to get in later.
For those who applied for Ramsey/Foundation Fellows, in the past, some students who applied but did not get selected for the interview weekend were given other scholarships. Good luck and hang in there.
Do you have an idea what kind of scholarships? Anything like a full OOS tuitions waiver. My daughter got half of the difference with acceptance but that is likely not enough for us to make it work. Especially since she has a USC in-state acceptance as well. UGA is one of her top choices but she can’t pile up too much debt for undergrad.
@UpstateSCmom If she’s already been offered a scholarship, it would be a better scholarship than previously offered.
.
thanks! Just wondering if there is a chance of getting a better one? LOL! Just grabbing straws.
Odd.
No one seems to have a major.
@Greymeer Ahhh shoot, I forgot to include that in the initial template.

Oof @walt22. That’s gotta sting. Good luck to you in RD.
@ShrimpBurrito it is disappointing.
My d got the Woodruff from her FF application . ( $5K per year). She also applied for The CURO scholarship https://honors.uga.edu/c_s/undergrad_rsch/curo_scholars.html which was another $3K . Scholarships at UGA can be stacked ( except the FF/ Ramsey will replace previous offered UGA scholarships) She was instate so also had the Zell Miller.
I know the waiting is hard , but admissions will also roll out additional scholarships until April. Good Luck to your d and congrats on her already having a few offers!
