<p>I sent mine Friday. Yea, it was hard letting go. I felt like I wasn’t ready yet, I wanted to read it over some more, let it sit and revise some more. gosh. I think the best thing for me to do now is to forget that I applied to college, so if I don’t get in, I won’t notice. If I do, it’ll be a pleasant surprise =P</p>

Unlike most people, I have the problem of my long essay falling ~50 words SHORT of the maximum. And I did manage to drum up FOUR (yes, count em) scholastic distinctions, however lame they may be.</p>

<p>nah, if a shorter essay gets the meaning across, it shouldn’t have any problem. I don’t think. Then again, I think I overshortened my essay. : X</p>

<p>Personally, I think shorter is better. Adding extraneous info to an already good essay just to make it 500 words is silly.</p>

<p>I play the clarinet. trying to get a recording from my room w/ a PC microphone (not the greatest…but oh well, can’t hurt, huh?)
For my academic stuff, 5 out of the 7 were math related…too one sided? Though they’re all state lvls…
(the other 2 are Nat’l commended & National Ap scholar)</p>

I’m thinking of putting Poulenc’s…Sonata(?) for Clarinet Third mvmt, and MOzart’s clarinet concerto’s 1st mvmt (I might curtail it a bit–too long). And an extract from a video that we took for my school band concert where we played Rhapsody in Blue (where I played the starting solo). You should send some in, too!</p>

<p>I would, but my school has no recording facilities, I would have to arrange one elsewhere and my weekends are full, and my own computer’s sound card won’t cooperate. =) If I did, I would probably send in my district tryout pieces from the past two years (they’re convenient, since I’ve been practicing them) and Mozart’s Clarinet Concerto, Mvt 1 (hehe, something in common =p). Although, I have no idea how that would sound without accompaniment.</p>
