<p>It’s hard letting go, isn’t it? I submitted mine Sunday (yesterday) and I’m still getting flashbacks from the application. Wow, it’s scary to realize that for 2 1/2 months you are helpless to alter the fate of your MIT application, huh? It’s Halloween and it’s scary!</p>

No. Decisions are mailed in paper envelopes. Roughly a week after the mail has been sent, Admissions will accept phonecalls asking about status from those whose mail has not arrived yet. No online notification.</p>

Music: Piano/Organ/Violin/Composing… As for listening, Apocalyptica is cool… should listen to them if you have never before…
Books: “Surely You’re Joking, Mr. Feynman!” (autobio of Richard P. Feynman)
Why MIT?: Because MIT is cool… And its letters are in my name… My TOK & Discrete Math & Comp Sci teacher (same guy) went there and he’s cool… That’s definitely an influence</p>

<p>hey, previous dude… you can probably put that on the “extra stuff they should know about you” portion if you can’t find a spot… oh wait… you already submitted… I’m sure it’s not terrible… I wonder if MIT has access to IB score database… cuz we can’t exactly send them our scores. And i don’t know if i put MIT on the AP score sending list either. Oh well.</p>

<p>From December 11-15, I’m going to be at school hanging by my cell phone, trying to yell at my mom to not open any MIT envelope. I did MITES and MIT is just the greatest place ever.</p>

<p>I love how even though MIT isn’t a “beautiful” campus (<em>gasp</em> blasphemy), we all find some sort of beauty in it. I guess it’s mathematically pleasing?</p>

<p>Have no fear! Your parents will be able to read through the envelope to where it says “congratulations” in large bold letters, so they won’t need to tear it open before you get a chance to do so. :)</p>

<p>So I spent the summer at MIT, and at first I thought MIT was ugly. I just could not understand why someone would want to build abstract buildings like Stata and Simmons. For some reason, as the summer progressed, MIT grew on me. I just think that it is the perfect size campus. I like centralized campuses because it gives the sense of community. Everyone has to walk down the infinite corridor, which I now think is so cool.</p>
