EAP study abroad in China/Taiwan?

<p>Hey guys,
I’m interested in studying in China or Taiwan via EAP next Spring, but it says on the EAP website that the programs start from mid-February. Winter quarter ends mid-March. Does this mean I take winter quarter off? Anyone have experience with something like this with EAP?</p>

<p>my friends studied in HK (had an extremely good time).
most schools are on the semester system though, so what happens is you either take part of summer + fall quarter, or winter + spring quarter to study abroad.</p>

<p>That is correct, you will need to take winter quarter off. This is why a lot of people rather study abroad during Fall semester as it only requires you to miss Fall quarter at UCLA.</p>
