I’m a rising senior who’s looking to apply to Pratt ED, but I’m not dead set on engineering so I might want to switch to Trinity or not. What is the earliest time I can do that, how hard is it to do, and what should I exactly do?

I believe (Im not a student there so dont trust me 100%, but Im planning on applying) that you can transfer in between freshman and sophomore year. I have heard its easier to transfer from Pratt to Trinity than Trinity to Pratt, but not sure on the difficulty of transferring in general.

You can transfer as early as after the first semester, I believe. Even if you can’t, you can start taking classes in Trinity and transfer over the summer. From Pratt to Trinity is just a matter of paperwork–no one will stop you.

You can’t officially transfer until the end of your freshman year. To do so, you go to the Dean’s office and check a box on a form…it’s quite difficult.
But the above responses are correct that even if you haven’t transfered yet that doesn’t affect what classes you can take and requirements you can fulfill. You could be enrolled in Pratt and take only Trinity courses starting first semester freshman year if you really wanted to.
