I live about 30 minutes away from UNC and got an email about 6:30…so anxious to hear back! good luck everyone!!!

@rheean,
Historically, the decisions, not only for UNC, but at other universities too, often come out on Friday afternoons. I think, FWIW, it is a way for the schools to be a bit humane to the students. The decisions don’t interrupt with the school day. It offers an entire weekend to either celebrate or cry–depending on one’s emotions and decision.
But, of course, I really don’t know anything for sure, it is speculation. Also with UNC alerting that CarolinaConnect will be down for a long time tomorrow evening, Friday just makes sense. Good luck all!!

Sooo when are y’all thinking decisions will come out?

Tomorrow or Friday@

If I don’t get an email soon I’m actually going to go insane.

Haha to those of you who haven’t gotten an email, it is nothing important it is basically a restatement of the blog post!

Just got mine!

One worry re: Friday is that there’s a huge winter storm system expected to hit NC on Friday. 70% chance of snow…

I know this is kinda late to be bringing up, but I submitted my app on the 15th yet it said I submitted it on the 16th. All my friends have “Downloaded: 10/15/2012” in green but I have “Downloaded: 10/16/2012” in black. A lot of people have said not to worry about it but it’s still bugging me. Am I fine, or does this put me into the RD pool :/? This is CommonApp btw http://oi46.■■■■■■■.com/2mepsie.jpg

Does anyone know for sure that the maintnance will effect our checking of decisions?

@Wilsonalex Mine is also in black and I submitted mine in September, but you won’t know for sure until results come out.

Really? Big snow storm on Friday?? I didn’t know that. I hope they don’t close schools in the Piedmont, because I’d rather spend the day distracted by school
Any other time, I’d welcome a snow day!!

I just got a scholarship day invitation! I am out of state; does that mean I was accepted? I was also wondering, if anybody knows…how many out of state full merit scholarships does UNC award?

Don’t worry about snow…

Latest set of models coming in and as we get closer to Friday, some of the shorter range models are giving some clues now. It still looks like moisture will be limited. Don’t get your hopes up for a big snow. This is more likely going to be a snow flurry, snow showers type of situation. Also there will probably still be some light sleet and patch frzg drizzle or mist. Not enough to cause weight on trees and lines. The way it appears at this moment…Cloudy friday with a few patches of flurries/light snow showers and or sleet…with a little freezing drizzle when the precip is very light. Highs in the lower 30s. The dry air building into NC will likely eat away at much of the moisture.

@wilson that just means that UNC downloaded it on the 16th. They’ll see that you submitted your app by the 15th! i wouldn’t worry

Just got my email on how to access the decision!

@blabla5 alright…I’m just fretting because I still have yet to receive this email everyone’s talking about. I live in Charlotte

Someone should show UNC this thread to show them just what they are doing to our young and fragile mental states.
