Essays were amazing, I really felt that I accomplished my best on them. EC’s included extensive 4-H involvement as well as many hours at the hospital volunteering over the summers. Recs were pretty strong (as far as I know) and I am President of Beta Club and active in about 5-6 others as well.</p>

<p>To those of you that didn’t get accepted, the journey doesn’t end here - though UNC wasn’t your golden door somewhere else is :slight_smile: and for those of you who are going to join me next year it would be awesome to get in touch! So HMU!</p>

<p>DD, OOS student, made it! 3.93 GPA, 800/740/730 SAT CR/MA/WR. We were worried because OOS is so competitive. </p>

<p>Just FYI, if it gives anyone hope who hasn’t been able to log in yet… my daughter (in-state) had next to no ECs, zero service hours, and average essays. She has worked 16 hours/week since fall of junior year, though, so it’s nice to know that probably counted for something.<br>
