<p>I am an instate student and I was deferred… Does anyone know of any statistics on the chances after deferral?</p>

<p>4.0 uw (1st in class of 500), 33 act, OOS with 10 APs, 300 volunteer hours, 2 jobs and good ECs, supplement essay was the best essay i’ve ever written.</p>

<p>UNC is my number one so I’m really disappointed but hopeful for RD. Thought I’d be rejected but I don’t want to wait especially if I get rejected in the end. I got into Southern Cal with merit scholarship consideration today so that softens the blow by alot. Congrats to those accepted!</p>

My essays were okay.
My recs were probably okay, I don’t know. My teacher rec was done literally last minute.
I’m Hispanic, so that probably helped a bit.
Oh, and my courseload. I’ve taken 8 APs. I emailed them about switching out of Calculus BC, which they said was okay. I’m glad it probably made no difference. </p>
