Did anyone get accepted to Princeton already? A guy at my high school said that he was admitted to Princeton last week but he will not go to Princeton next year since he does not have enough money. Is he lying or is he telling the truth? I am just curious.

He’s probably lying.
Tell him to bring in the acceptance letter to school.

He is lying.

But many athletes may have already received their acceptance letters.

his is lying

if he was an athlete he wouldn’t have gotten one without at least giving the coach a verbal commit.

If it weren’t obvious enough, his reason for not going (the fact that he has one already is a dead giveaway–why would he apply if he couldn’t afford it?) shows that this is false. Princeton has some of the best financial aid in the country, so the only reason is if his parents make a lot of money but aren’t willing to pay for it.

You should ask him where he plans to go, look up that school’s financial aid and compare.
