Early Admission/Entrance Before Senior Year For CS

I am a prospective high school sophomore CS student. I have taken two college CS courses at my local college, work for a local software company, and have worked on several of my own products.

I am considering going to college early (before senior year ends), because at my high school, I will be unable to take any Math or Science or CS classes senior year.

The only early admission/entrance programs I have found online are at:
Carnegie Mellon
University of Southern California

Can anyone speak to the experience or pros/cons of those programs, or to early admission/entrance programs in general? Are there any other programs that I should note?

Thanks so much! :D

Most colleges and universities will admit students early even though they do not have formally defined early admissions programs. Contact the admissions offices at the places that appeal to you, and ask about their process.

Here is one list of institutions that do have formal early admissions programs: [Early College Entrance Programs | Hoagies’ Gifted](Early Entrance College Programs | Hoagies' Gifted)

If you are happy with your high school life, except for the Math and CS thing, find out what you can do to continue to take your Math and CS coursework at the local college. Your guidance counselor should be able to help you set up a formal dual-enrollment program for your junior and senior years.

Would you be able to actually graduate high school a year early, while completing all of the typical high school course work requirements that colleges want to see by then (including English composition and literature, history and social studies, foreign language, etc.)? If so, then many more colleges may admit you on a normal basis rather than a special admissions program.

Agree with #2 that if you exhaust your high school math and science offerings, see if you can set up enrollment at a local college for those subjects while still in high school, if you are otherwise satisfied with staying in high school senior year.

Happymom is right (as always). Another advantage to staying in high school is that you can keep your current job at the software company, gaining more responsibility and experience. Good luck!
