Money is not an issue at the moment, always looking for a good deal though.
Yes, I’m looking at Kelley.

Obviously IU & Purdue are great options.

If you feel like seeing something different, or going to college in a city with a population of several hundred thousand (where there would be good opportunities for paid internships during the school year), I would suggest U of Kentucky & U of Nebraska. Both offer significant scholarships to out-of-state students with a gpa & ACT like yours that would bring the cost down to somewhere in the neighborhood of the in-state sticker price of IU & Purdue.

No other parameters…location, size, greek no greek, ranking? There’s thousands of schools in this country.

My kid got an accounting degree last year, & some things I learned were: (1) internships are super important…it’s much easier to get a full-time job when you graduate if you’ve had an internship, and the more/longer internships in more areas of accounting the better. (2) Grades DO matter when it comes to getting internships; take all of your classes very seriously right from the start. (3) Colleges vary greatly regarding how many credits you will get for your AP exam scores; the more credits you get,the more terms you will be able to take a light course load & have time for internships…or you can take a full load and try to get close to the 150 credits you will need to take the CPA exams. (4) It simplifies a lot of logistical & networking details to go to college near where you want to end up working; yes, it’s possible to go to college a thousand miles away from where you want to end up working, but interviews, networking, travel, housing, etc will be more complicated. Good luck!

@moooop thank you for the advice. My school offers IB instead of AP though.

@NEPatsGirl size doesn’t really matter, just maybe in the midwest and good college coupled with good academics.

If you have IB credits, check to see if there are differences in how many credits you will from various colleges.

You are going to need some significant reasons to pick a school over IU & Purdue.

Miami U in Ohio is stunningly beautiful & a lot smaller than IU & Purdue. Excellent business school, and decent merit scholarships.

With your gpa & ACT, the U of Alabama would give you a scholarship that covers your tuition. Beautiful campus, good business school, warmer weather than in the Midwest, football team usually great. See Presidential Scholarship here:

Note that if you graduate in fewer than 4 years, you can use remainder of scholarship for graduate study.

Case Western Reserve University in Ohio,
has fantastic accounting program and everyone lands at a good firm, its smaller
and will mentor you in accounting.

You may get a merit award from Case as well.

U Nebraska, universities in Maryland and Florida reward IB diploma holders.
Seconding Case Western for a different, more personal experience than at Kelley while being nationally reputable.
It’ll be hard to beat Indiana Kelley at instate costs though.
