Not sure why colleges do this while May 1st is the universal date. We are in somewhat similar boat if not exact same situation.
a) 1st school : My child is in the WAITLIST for BS/MD program.
b) 2nd school: He is in WAITLIST for a FULL-RIDE UG program.
c) 3rd school: He got accepted to a Top 30 UG school with no free money.
Our preference is (a) then (b) and last is ©. We understand my child’s wait list would not move until after May 1st depending on how many accepted kids enroll. We plan to pay the deposit and enroll in all 3 schools. Later if we do not see any movement in my child BS/MD or FULL-RIDE options, we will not attend this school. I assume the worst case scenario would be the loss of our deposit. Not sure whether we could do anything better than this at this point.

(a) Accepted to this UG with FULL RIDE in Honors College. Top 200 School.
(b) Accepted to this UG with little free money. Top 100 School.
© Accepted to this UG with NO free money. Top 30 School.
