Do any of the BA/MD programs offer early decision or early action options to applicants?

And another question aside…I have just about made up my mind to rescind Columbia ED because my first choice is acceptance into UMDNJ’s BA/MD program. Which school is more competitive? My EC record is a little bit shaky (not too many leadership positions, few if any awards, no lab internships/research or Intel Science Fair, etc.). Could an outstanding interview at UMDNJ make up for a modest EC record, especially since I am an out of state applicant (UMDNJ prefers in-state applicants, I think).

If there are any UMDNJ students in this forum, could you please list your stats. Thanks!

anyone with an answer?

depends on your grades and sat. if your sat is 1500 or above and gpa is close to 4.0 then you have a good shot (although this is probably diminished for out of state students). If your grades are not that high, you’re not getting in.

Brown offers an early decion option for its PLME program. You can choose to apply early to both Brown and the PLME (ie. you might get into Brown but not the PLME) or you can choose to apply early to the PLME, but not Brown (ie. this is for if you do not want to go to Brown if you do not get into the PLME).

How significantly are my chances of acceptance diminished if I am applying to UMDNJ or any other out of state combined medical program? And what do you think is about the GPA cutoff…would a 3.6 unweighted GPA be too low?

its not too low and weighted counts a lot. though they tend to accept nj residents they don’t discriminate against out of state so that’s not a factor.
