Early decision and additional information

My daughter applied to an ivy league school early decision. The next day after submitting her application, she was notified that she was a National Merit Commended.

Is there a way to go back and add information to submitted applications?

No. But you can send a letter or e-mail to her admissions rep at the college.

Yes, you can ask the admissions office to add that to her application file through e-mail or snail mail as OperaDad said.

Although I’m not sure it’s worth the hassle since NM Commended doesn’t mean much to an Ivy League college. They get thousands of NMSF and NMF applicants.

I would definitely not send it. She was commended, not a semi-finalist - and even that wouldn’t add anything. Presumably she has an ACT or SAT that is within Ivy range already.
