Early decision- can colleges revoke admittance?

I just had a quick question. If one applies early decision or early action and is admitted to a schoolut, and commits to that school and that school only, but later in the year slacks off, can the college revoke the admittance? have you ever heard of anything like this?
thanks

Many acceptance letters include advice on keeping grades up for the rest of senior year. If you’re worried you might want to talk with your school’s guidance department or the admissions office of your college.

It doesn’t matter whether your admissions was ED or RD or rolling or Early Action. Revocation occurs at the end of your senior year, when your senior year grades come in. For any type of admissions, that’s after the May 1 reply date.

As far as I know, all colleges have a caveat in admissions that admissions can be revoked for low grades or if one doesn’t graduate from h.s. Admissions also can be revoked if one lied on one’s application, has legal problems or gets suspended/expelled after being admitted.
