Early decision chances?

Hey, I’m a senior attending an American school in Dubai. I’m considering applying to Columbia for early decision. However I’m not sure if I meet the requirements. I have a CUMULATIVE GPA of 3.75(3.9 junior year) and I’m a full IB Diploma student. I got 33 on my ACT(plus writing), 2180 on SAT, 800 on SAT II math 2 and 800 on SAT II physics. I don’t have too many extracurricular activities but i have provided a list. Please provide me with an honest opinion. :)

IB Courses taken:
Mathematics HL
Physics HL
History HL

English A1 SL
Computer Science SL
Theory of knowledge (philosophy class)

 • Soccer team since grade 9
 • Robotics team since junior year
 • Auto-mechanic Apprenticeship
 • 2 years experience in carpentry
 • student technician in school
 • Currently vice-president of senior class
 • Co-founder of charity soccer club in co-operation with Grassrootsoccer.com

Achievements:

 • 2 consecutive “Outstanding Student” awards in mathematics and 1 in Theory of Knowledge.
 • Won an engineering contest held by Michigan State University in Dubai.
 • High honors since 10th grade.
 • Currently writing a computer program for the IBO which will hopefully be sold to IB science teachers worldwide.
 • Gold medal in University of Waterloo math contest.

I think this is about it. Do you think I have good chance of getting into Columbia University?

P.S: I will have no trouble with recommendation letters since I’m quite popular with teachers for all the right reasons.
