My daughter applied EA in late October and got her acceptance December 7.
Any EA candidates receive notifications yet this January? Seems like last push of notifications happened before holidays. Anyone heard anything since? Or know when the next round will be notified? My son submitted his EA app on 11/7 and has not yet heard.
Yes, D24 applied EA and heard last week – she got an email that said her portal was updated and then the decision was in her portal (she was accepted). A couple of days later, a big packet came in the actual mail. She got a pretty sizeable merit scholarship. 3.9 weighted GPA, test optional, education department.

Sure. She submitted on November 12th and we are from NYC.

What is considered a good merit scholarship for Ithaca and is there a guideline for asking for an increase? D received $30k/yr. We won’t qualify for need based aid.
D received her decision on Jan 2nd.
If that is not the max, it is close to it. You can definitely give it a try for more merit - would be good if you could use a higher offer from another school as a bargaining tool.

Can someone chime in from last year about when Ithaca generally releases financial aid packages? S25 was accepted EA in December, and while the merit is nice, it’s hard to know if Ithaca is still in the running without seeing the complete financial picture. Their other acceptances sent financial aid + merit with the decision. We want to start narrowing down our list based on affordability, and plan admitted student visits from there.
