just got ea acceptance + 34k merit! excited cus i had a bit of a sinister gpa…
what’s the average merit amount? also do they give less FA if u get merit?

Sorry for all the questions- Ithaca is one of D26’s top choices but her GPA is a little on the low side and not a lot of APs.
yep! i had a 3.3 unweighted and not exactly sure of my weighted, 1440 sat, 5 APs, upward trend, and i think i had a good essay. my ec’s were decent but a little weird. i applied mid-october!

D26 was accepted a little over two weeks ago. Exercise Science, 33k in merit.
Still waiting!! It’s one of D26’s top choices and the anticipation is driving us nuts. She turned in her application right before the EA deadline so we may have a little while yet before we know.

What major is she? They may do decisions by major. My daughter has a few friends who are also still waiting. Unfortunately the only information on the website about decision timing is “before February 1st”

She’s film, which the admissions counselor that she interviewed with told her is one of the largest majors. But he also said that makes it a program with a lot of spots available so hopefully she’ll get one of them!!
